The quiet genius of our resilience
Celebrating visibility
and representation of our
diverse humanity
Project Khorshid is born from a longing—for belonging, for liberation from inner oppression, and for a path out of liminality.
It began as a quiet, instinctive act of survival—long before it had a name.
The frame of Project Khorshid—the photography, the advocacy, the witnessing—emerged as a way to make sense of the world. It offered structure and sanctuary. It became a form through which experience could be processed and held.
This body of work carries the imprints of resilience, neurodivergence, and the complexities of trauma. It arose in the absence of societal and familial understanding, yet was guided by something ancient, wise, and deeply intuitive—reaching for the camera, for story, for connection.
Photography in advocacy became a symbolic language of resilience. It provided access to breath when the nervous system was flooded, and belonging when exile was felt. By bearing witness to others—by holding space for their truth, their reclamation, their becoming—the work itself revealed its deeper purpose: to remind that healing is possible, that meaning can be made, and that sanctuaries of truth can be created even in the absence of safety.
Project Khorshid is that sanctuary. It is not only a project—it is a pathway. A living language of what becomes possible when people meet one another with presence, compassion, and light.
It is a practice of empathy as art, as form, as tool—honoring the diverse and beautiful ways of coping, living, and expressing.
Project Khorshid is an offering, an invitation to show how harmony between us can shift lived experience—how, in the light of connection, the illusion of “the other” fades.
At its core, Project Khorshid is a radical act of self-acceptance—an embracing of one’s multitudes. It is a practice and lifestyle in which all parts of our humanity are welcomed. A symbolic gesture, an essential ritual of intention, and an act of justice—beginning with ourselves. It is a celebration of our interconnectedness and our accountability for collective well-being.
